Back to the Bush is nestled in 320 acres of peaceful native country side at Woocoo, The property known locally as "Kings-Lynn" is situated 300klms Northwest of Brisbane Queensland. A Bush Retreat and Wedding venue in the beautiful rural surrounds of the Fraser Coast. If you feel like going back to a time and place where life was simple and tranquil and carefree our place is the place to be.
Whether you are looking for a secluded retreat or a bushwacking good time, the property offers the magic of a bush backdrop with clear starry nights.
The property features numerous billabongs and water courses. Activities include, bush walking, bush crafts, bird watching, hiking, campfires, and marshmallows for toasting. Then there is our Damper recipe or traditional camp cooking. The homestead also provides many comforts. Enjoy a book or video from our extensive library, battle your mates in one of our board games or jigsaws or check out the native wild life.

About Us
Gail - "The Property has been my passion for some 30 years, and has been our families 'safe' place, the place where we could leave the world behind. In the early years we built the infrastructure and operated it as a farming enterprise, with beef Cattle and small crops, but that is all gone and the Bush has taken it back. Now we are just happy to be able to share the experience. It's a place you never really want to leave, Chatter of birds in the morning, and magnificent views of the Milky Way at night. "

Debbie - Debbie is the Host at the Property and is the one you are most likely to meet and like. She has lived in some of the remotest parts of Australia and can regale you with stories of adventures and of larger than life Australians. She has a fabulous no nonsense attitude with extensive experience in Hospitality and is a great cook. Debbie is also is an avid Bird Watcher and has a real passion for animals and plants and is responsible for the ever growing managery of wild birds and parrots that we now feed.
